Larry made a nice video about using packet and configuring the Kantronics KPC-3.
Even if packet isn't your cup of tea, it may be worth a watch if you use APRS, as the setup he is using in the video is very similar to the W0NE APRS digipeater on Rooster Ridge.

> I made a brief video of packet radio station at KB9RPN memorial community ham radio station in Viroqua . It is an overview of setting up the transmit and receive levels of Kantronics KPC-3 tnc and connecting to Witoka packet node and then on to Lacrosse. I didn't know that very day , Ken W9GM was working with the Richland Center hams to set up a packet radio station in their area. So now the local packet radio system covers a good range around the Winona, Lacrosse, Viroqua, and Richland Center areas. Not a lot of people use it but it is there and running 24 hours a day all year.
> Here is the video I made about packet radio and how it works. Nice to put the old equipment that was gathering dust back into use.
> There are soundcard options to use packet radio without using a tnc.
